Thomas Firth Jackson Council Installation Meeting
On a sunny Monday evening members of the Thomas Firth Jackson Council together with a large number of guests assembled at the Market Hall in Hawkshead to witness the Installation of Chris Butterfield as Worshipful Master.

For some intrepid travellers, the journey from the central part of the District was punctuated by drinks en-route and a scenic crossing of Lake Windermere.

The meeting was opened by the Master, Brian Ogden who welcomed everyone to the meeting particularly nine members of Birley Council (Birley Council meets at Windermere Masonic Hall in the District of Cumberland and Westmorland), added to that were four members for Garnett Council.
Once everyone had settled down an announcement was made to say the District Grand Prefect was in attendance and demanded admission, all present stood and gave a very warm welcome to the District Grand Prefect, R.W.Bro. Paul Snape.

The next business was to Install as Master Bro. Christopher Butterfield the work was carried out by Brian Ogden which was appreciated by all present.

Following the Installation, the District Grand Prefect congratulated W.Bro. Chris Butterfield on becoming Master of Thomas Firth Jackson Council, wishing him well for the future. He also commented on the high standard of Ritual worked by the Installing Master, thanking Brian for his work and the stewardship of the Council over the previous twelve months.

The refreshment which ensued was a lively affair under the control of the Deputy District Grand D.C.
