A Freeman becomes a Knight
 
In early January around twenty Allied Masons assembled at Grange over Sands Masonic Hall.

The Master John Myers, after opening the meeting he welcomed members and guests wishing them a Happy New Year.

Following the usual Lodge business John then invited Geoff Catterall to occupy the Chair, a Lodge of Knight of Constantinople was the opened, Bill Joughin a Freeman of Barrow in Furness was then admitted to the Degree of a Knight of Constantinople by Geoff Catterall, the Lecture was explained by Ernie Gavan.
All finished time for home
Before the meeting closed the District Prefect Paul Snape congratulated and thanked everyone who had taken part in the Ceremony, commenting on the high standard of their work.
 
Following the meeting at the Lunch a delicious Steak Pie was enjoyed by all present, rounded off by tasty Lancashire Cheese.
